Schools are already doing more than ever. Teachers, counselors, nurses, social workers and administrators shouldn't also have to worry about whether the hygiene closet is running low, who is organizing the food pantry, or where the next donation is coming from. That's where Backyard Hope can help. Backyard Hope works behind the scenes to help schools manage essential resources for students and families. Our goal isn't to replace school staff or work directly with students. Our role is logistics, organization and support.

If your nonprofit, agency or community organization serves individuals or families in Oneida or Herkimer County, who could benefit from essential items, we want to hear from you. Backyard Hope regularly works to provide hygiene products, clothing, food, school supplies and other necessities to organizations serving our community. Whether you have an immediate request or simply want to keep essential products available for the people you serve, complete our Request for Assistance Form.

Businesses are an important part of Backyard Hope. There are many ways to get involved. Everything from sponsoring a program or hosting a collection drive to donating products, providing financial support or helping us meet a specific community need. We can work with your business to create a partnership that makes sense for your team while directly supporting local students, families and community organizations. Backyard Hope serves those in Oneida and Herkimer County and is a registered non-profit in NYS.
